My deepest sympathies to Pete, Alex, Katie and Ross. I will always remember your mom’s laugh. It was infectious and always made me smile and laugh with her. Her quick wit and keen intelligence. Her genuine interest in all things. I will miss her at the yearly race get-togethers as I would always hide in the corner with her to catch up. She was a remarkable woman and I will miss her. We extend our heartfelt sympathy to your family. Though it has been years since I last saw her, I remember Pam as a kind, gentle person who was easy to laugh and had a light spirit. We first met in elementary school at Kenwood in Hammond and continued our acquaintance through high school at Hammond High. May God carry you through this time of loss.

    Pete:
I know it has been a very long time since you were my senior resident and I was on my first rotation in Don Kreipke’s ER. You probably don’t remember me, but I remember enjoying working with you. I am very sorry to hear of your loss. My best wishes to you and your children.

My memories of Pam are many; the most vivid are spending time together when we both lived in South Bend and visiting while Pete completed his fellowship in San Francisco. It saddens me deeply that she was unable to win the battle. She was truly a wonderful, thoughtful, giving and caring person and a true joy to be around. Although our communication was sparse over the years we still connected.
I know she will be deeply missed by many but there are countless memories that will never be forgotten. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family, may God be with you.

I remember Pamela’s beautiful smile, and how polite she was. Although I did not know her personally, she was so full of life, and laughing and smiling whenever I saw her by a locker or going down the hall, a very sweet and pretty girl. I feel as though I am one of the lucky ones, I am a 8 yr. cancer survivor, and cancer free. Sometimes we do not have all the answers as why a life so special is taken before its time. You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers, and you have my deepest sympathy at this time. May God be with you and see you through this very difficult time, and know that Pamela is no longer in any pain or suffering.

    Mr. D’Amour and family,

I have been deeply touched and saddened by the loss of a fellow classmate, your wife and mother,Pamela, whom did not win the battle with cancer. You certainly have my prayers and deepest condolences. I remember Pamela’s beautiful smile that would light up a room, and her pretty cotton blonde hair. I pray that God will watch over you all, and with time the good memories you will hold close to your hearts and bring a smile to your faces. I hope everyone that reads this will remember to support local hospitals and the ACS for research to find cures for this awful disease. Rest in peace, Pam, you will be missed.

A fellow breast cancer survivor and classmate.

Pam was always full of fun and life during our days at U of E. She was bright, capable, and excellent nurse who cared deeply about her patients and the care they received. She was a great classmate and will always be a part of my fond memories of our days at U of E.
